Leisure and Health Center

The depths of the earth for your beauty and health…

Holiday Park is the largest leisure and health center in western Lithuania. A unique water wellness center that uses local natural resources, including the exceptional properties of geothermal water and therapeutic sapropel mud extracted from the private lake Riauško, offers a wide range of treatments that invite you to improve your health all year round. For your leisure, there are fourteen different freshwater and geothermal pools with underwater massage jets, pressure cascades, air geysers, whirlpools, vertical baths, and a pool for younger guests.

The healing properties of thermal water have been known since the days of the Roman Empire. Thermal springs are well known for their biological properties. Highly mineralized geothermal water has a significant effect on increasing skin moisture and elasticity and reducing subcutaneous fat and body fat. Due to the safety and effectiveness of geothermal water, it is important in health care. Geothermal water occupies an important place among beauty treatments. The leisure and health center features a geothermal water pool and vertical bath, a sauna complex, sapropel mud applications and wraps, underwater massage and pearl bath rooms, and a salt room.

  • In the sauna area, you can try the “Riauška” sauna, which smells of natural herbs and is perfect for warming up and acclimatising your body to the heat. We recommend relaxing in the sauna named after a lake rich in sapropel: enjoy the silence, immerse yourself in the scents of nature, forget all your worries, and prepare yourself for other sauna procedures. As soon as your heart starts beating faster and you feel the need to cool down, you can take a dip in the pool. After your first visit to the sauna, take a 15-20 minute break and then enter the extremely humid “Salt Sauna.”In this extremely humid sauna, you can take advantage of the beneficial properties of salt: gently exfoliate your skin (except your face) with salt and spend some time in a unique salt room. Relax for a few minutes until your body warms up and starts to sweat, and only then start rubbing salt on your skin. Once you have thoroughly “salted” your skin, you can clean it without scrubbing. The high concentration of salt causes an osmotic effect – metabolic fluids seep through the skin into the more salt-saturated area, cleansing the body of toxins and supplying the skin with microelements. In addition, salt crystals are a natural ionizer that improves air quality by emitting negative ions. Negatively ionized air improves health and helps treat various ailments. We recommend spending 5-15 minutes in the salt sauna until the salt dissolves on the skin. Other natural exfoliants, which can be purchased in the sauna area, can also be used in the salt sauna.
  • Once you have warmed up and cleansed your skin, it is time to visit Perenė. The traditional Lithuanian sauna Perenė can accommodate about 20 people and features a unique brick sauna stove. A similar stove is used in the manor sauna at the Lithuanian Open-Air Museum in Rumšiškės, which has become the benchmark for authentic Lithuanian saunas. There is no metal in this massive stove: several tons of stones stacked on ceramic arches behind the clay walls are directly heated by the fire. The stones heat up to red hot, and when water is poured over them, it turns into extremely gentle and soft steam. The gentle heat and steam emitted by the masonry of the stove not only warms the body deeply, but also provides an excellent microclimate for whisking with birch branches. Although the temperature in Perenė reaches 50-60 degrees, no sauna lover will ever feel cold – the feeling of warmth is created not only by the temperature, but also by the humidity, which is regulated by the steam. The height and shape of the sauna benches are adapted for both whisking and passive, gradual warming. At Perene, you can enjoy yourself passively while lying down, sitting, or being whisked by local sauna masters during their programs. On weekends and holidays (as well as during special events), Perene will be hosted by Lithuanian and foreign sauna masters who have prepared original programs and training sessions.
  • Procedural “Sea Battle” On a cool day, you can’t stretch out on the Baltic coast, but you can immerse yourself in foam while snuggling up to a warm stone. The heated stones used for various wet procedures are reminiscent of a Turkish hammam, but the Sea Battle uses natural body care products favored by today’s Lithuanian sauna masters, such as locally sourced masks and scrubs. You can finish off your sauna experience with amber, honey, or clay. You can also order an extremely gentle soap foam massage with birch branches. The popping foam bubbles will remind you of the caressing waves of the Baltic Sea. After these treatments, your body will glow and your soul will sing.
  • The outdoor sauna “Širšių lizdas” (Hornet’s Nest). This is a round sauna with a round porch. The architecture and bustle are reflected in the name of the sauna – “Širšių lizdas” (Hornet’s Nest). Movement and conversation reign here. If you get cold outside or overcool yourself in the outdoor pools, it’s time to visit the “Bee’s Nest.” Sit in a semicircle and share your impressions, but don’t forget to listen to your body when it asks for coolness. “Gentlemen’s Sauna” in the open air. This is an outdoor sauna with a spacious dressing room. It can be rented by private groups of up to 10-15 people. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the pleasures of the sauna with just your friends. You can also hire a sauna master who will conduct your desired program.
  • The small sauna is a cozy sauna for several people, where you can spend time alone with your significant other. In this sauna, you can also order a professional sauna attendant in advance.
