The house where the painter and composer Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis lived in 1908-1909
Čiurlionis Mikalojus Konstantinas (1875-1911) – composer, painter. He visited Palanga as a teenager with the orchestra of the M. Oginski Manor School, where he played. In the summer of 1908 he spent a month in Palanga, where he composed music and painted pictures. In memory of Čiurlionis, a memorial plaque (sculptor D. Zubovaitė-Palukaitienė, 1969) was unveiled in Palanga, in L. Vaineikio street, at the house number 17. In the Botanical Park of Palanga there is a sculpture by S. Šarapovas „The Rifleman” in memory of M. K. Čiurlionas (1981).
