Villa “Jūros akis”
Villa “Jūros akis” – a masterpiece of resort architecture built between 1897 and 1910, formerly owned by S. Tiškevičienė.
This Swiss-style villa has an asymmetrical composition, with all facades differing from each other, and the building’s layout is adapted for accommodation services. After reconstruction, a 52-seat café was set up on the first floor and three apartments furnished with luxurious antique furniture were created on the second floor. Each room has a name: the first is “Sea Eye,” the second is “Count,” and the third is presented to guests as “Mistress.” Legend has it that the count’s mistress lived in this room.
In 1992, the building was included in the Register of Immovable Cultural Heritage Properties of the Republic of Lithuania. During the summer season, the building offers accommodation and catering services.
