The house where Jonas Pranas Aleksa, a public figure and statesman, spent his summers

Aleksa Jonas Pranas (1879–1955) was a Lithuanian statesman, public figure, agronomist, sociologist, and economist. He served as Minister of Agriculture and State Property of the Republic of Lithuania (1920–1923) and Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania (1926–1935), and was a contributor to the press. He spent his summers in Palanga (1925–1940). He is buried in the Palanga City Cemetery. A memorial plaque was unveiled in Palanga, at the house marked with the number 52 on Vytauto Street (2009).
