Musical fountain
During the warm season, the fountain entertains visitors with a dance of music, light, and water.
- The fountain operates from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Free musical program – from 9:00 p.m. to 9:50 p.m.
- Free performances of a single piece at the following times: 12:00 p.m.; 1:00 p.m.; 2:00 p.m.; 3:00 p.m.; 4:00 p.m.; 5:00 p.m.; 6:00 p.m.; 7:00 p.m.
You can choose your favorite melody for the fountain to dance to by sending an SMS from a special playlist. Ordering a song for the dancing fountain costs €3. Every day, visitors are entertained by free hour-long performances.
Depending on the selected piece of music, the height and direction of the water jets change, as does the fountain’s lighting. The water jets are controlled by special computer equipment in accordance with the song. The fountain’s computer equipment automatically adjusts the height and angle of the water jets according to the direction and strength of the wind.
The impressive light and music effect is created by 260 water jets and 48 different colored lights that produce the entire color spectrum. The fountain equipment was purchased in Greece and Italy.
Five powerful German pumps installed under the fountain basin push the main jet to a height of 8 meters and lift almost 4.3 tons of water into the air per minute. In terms of the amount of water lifted, the fountain in Palanga is the largest dancing fountain in Lithuania.
