Palanga Tennis School
The public institution (VŠĮ) Palanga Tennis School, established in Palanga on November 13, 2009, is a non-profit public legal entity with limited civil liability, whose purpose is to serve the public interest by carrying out activities that benefit society. The institution is a beneficiary of support.
The founders of the school are Arūnas Grigalauskas and Julija Valachavičienė.
The mission of the school:
- to promote tennis,
- to teach children and young people to play tennis, to prepare them for high athletic achievement and a professional tennis career,
- to teach and encourage the residents of Palanga and visitors to the resort to play tennis, thereby promoting an active and healthy lifestyle and improving the quality of life.
The school’s vision:
- to be an independent, modern sports (tennis) school operating all year round,
- an active member of the Lithuanian Tennis Union, promoting tennis in Palanga and Lithuania,
- open to new initiatives,
- constantly improving the quality of training and other services,
- responding adequately and dynamically to the needs of students (athletes), clients, the Palanga community, and guests,
- striving for quantitative and qualitative results, preparing children and young people for high athletic achievement, professional careers, and amateur play.
The school accepts children from 5 years of age, young people, and adults.
School sports facilities:
May–October:
Tennis courts at the Žilvinas Hotel in Palanga (Gedimino g. 8).
October–April:
Sports hall at V. Jurgučio Primary School (Kretingos g. 21),
Sports center hall (Ganyklų g. 18).
