Kayaking route: Baltic Sea (duration 1 hour). The route is organized in Palanga or Šventoji, on the Baltic Sea coast. Enjoy the sun, wind, and water while kayaking through the waves of the Baltic Sea. This route is suitable for extreme sports enthusiasts. Note! When the sea water temperature is below 17 degrees, special clothing (wetsuit) is required; if the water is warmer than 17 degrees, swimwear will suffice.
Kayaking route: Šventoji (Mažųjų/Didžiųjų takas – Šventoji Sea Port). The route is about 8 km long and takes about 2-3 hours to complete. The trip starts from Mažųjų/Didžiųjų takas. During this route, you will see the town of Šventoji from the water, as the Šventoji River makes a large loop around it. The river is wide and the current is gentle. You will not encounter any natural or artificial obstacles along the way. You will also pass the monkey bridge. You will be able to enjoy a calm, relaxing paddle that does not require much physical effort. The route ends at the Šventoji Sea Port. The route is not difficult and is suitable for those who do not like to sweat a lot, families with small children or pets, and seniors.
Kayak route: Šventoji (Laukžemės water mill-Šventoji Sea Port) length approx. 17 km, sailing time approx. 8 hours. The trip starts at the dam of the Laukžemė watermill. This is the largest mill on the coast. The river slowly winds through forests, with sandbanks visible in places. You can get out on the shore to catch your breath or enjoy the beautiful nature. In some places, there are fallen trees and there may be snags. You will pass Aušrakaimis and its bridge, then Kalgraužiai, which continues to the Darbos tributary. You will pass the Klaipėda-Liepoja road bridge, from where the current slows down considerably and the river begins to widen, with small woods visible in places on the banks. Pass a couple more bridges and a tributary, and you will reach the town of Šventoji. The river makes a large loop around the town and widens to 20-30 m. Pass a couple more bridges and the river turns into a “lake.” Soon you will reach the seaport of Šventoji. This is the end of the trip. This is a moderately difficult route, the difficulty of which depends on the water level of the river. If the water is low, you will encounter fallen trees and shallow places, which will make sailing more difficult.
